Hello guys!

This simple blog is meant to capture my unspectacular journey towards financial freedom. I am by no means are financially free nor has “made-it”. In reality, I am very far from it but looking at my plans and things that are going now, I might have a chance of achieving my dreams in less than 10 years. (super optimistic, haha). boleh!

Why did I do this?

I’m pretty sure that to become a financially independent is everyone’s dream and endgame. I hope with this blog, I can stay focused and committed towards this goal as I am now whenever I strayed to the dark side. Secondly, for the past years, I’ve been reading/experimenting/practising a LOT of personal financial hack in my daily life. I think they are practical and I hope to share the tips with everyone through this blog.

Disclaimer: I am by no means, an excellent writer nor a story-teller, but I hope to improve these skills over the course of this blogging.

A bit of background

Before sharing my journey, let me explain a little bit about myself. I am a typical Gen-Y millennial with a very long name, but to be short, I will address myself here as Mat. I’m a Malaysian, currently single and in my mid-20s with just a little bit over a year of working experience as an engineer in a company located in the northern part of Malaysia.

As an average joe in Malaysia, I also have my fair share of education debt, love-hate relationship with nasi lemak, teh tarik and roti canai as well as the daily temptation of owning a premium soul red Mazda 6, with that black 19-inch aluminium alloy…oh well, reality kicks in.

That’s it for the first post. Took me over an hour just to type this out. My non-existing writing skills are getting rusty.

End.
