Hey guys!

It’s been almost two years since my last post. Wow, what a massive procrastination. What’s up and what’s been happening to Mat Kewangan?

Did I achieved my financial freedom already or did I lose hope and abandon the financial independence dream?

To be honest, blogging is difficult. In fact, producing content of any kind is difficult and pure hard work. To do it once or twice is moderately easy but to keep on going, and be consistent is where the difficulty and opportunity lies. That’s where I am struggling and I learned it first hand through this blog.

Alas, with new years come new resolution and in spirit of 2020, I want to re-start Matkewangan blog because my financial independence journey is still going on.

So, a little bit of bullet points summary of the things that happened in these two years:

  1. I quit my job and had a fresh start at a new place. (with a little bit of salary bump 😀 )
  2. Finally moving out of my parent’s house and renting on my own.
  3. Went on an epic adventure.
  4. Got married!

Yes, most of these decisions I’ve made had an impact on my finance in some kind of way and I will try to blog about them in the upcoming posts.

Anyway, happy 2020. Till the next post. Remember, keep on hustling!

End

Mat is your average Malaysian with the dream of being financially free. Deep down, he knows the journey towards independence is very tough and treacherous, which is why he blogs in Mat Kewangan as a way to keep him motivated and keep the dream alive.
